Veules-les-Roses, village labeled “Most Beautiful Villages of France”

A few minutes from your campsite Les Pommiers, you will be seduced by what we call here “The rare pearl of La Côte d’Albâtre”, Veules-les-Roses is not labeled “One of the most beautiful villages in France” by chance!

Description

Between Fécamp and Dieppe, located on the Caux plateau overlooking the cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre, Veules-les-Roses offers all the attractions of a village between sea and countryside. A must-see is La Veules, "the smallest river in France", and its green and flowery route past mills and thatched cottages, while villas and bathing cabins on the seafront recall the origins of the seaside resort.

Veules-les-Roses is one of the oldest villages in the Pays de Caux. A popular vacation spot in the 19th century, notably by Victor Hugo, as well as impressionist painters in their time, its seaside and alleys with their timeless charm continue to attract lovers of beautiful things.

On the seafront, you will not resist tasting a dozen Veulaises, an oyster raised in the open sea, to be served as well as a famous watercress soup, grown here in one of the very good establishments of the village.
